ML-MD 8000
The ML - MD series models represent the best solution for the dry cleaning of large quantities of working garments, carpets, leathers, and furs. Thanks to their strong build these machines are able to take on big workloads with excellent results. They are designed as modular components to be placed in combination according to the requested project.
The ML - MD 8000 series include three cleaning modules of 60, 80 and 100 Kg capacity respectively and several high efficiency distillation modules.
According to the chosen distillation module it is possible to use up to three cleaning modules in the same configuration.
All main module components, including base solvent tanks, are built in stainless steel.
The DIALOG PLUS computer controls the cleaning module, All cleaning modules have as standard feature electronic speed control with programmable basket rotation speed inverter.
The automatic cleaning of the basket rear wall allows the removal of lint, assuring maximum performance over a longer time. The refrigerator condenser battery and the heating battery are fitted with quick connections to allow easy maintenance avoiding the loss of Freon into the air.
The extra large aluminium loading door is fitted with a control lock which prevents the door from opening and is controlled by the DIALOG PLUS computer. The opening angle is optimized in order to simplify as much as possible all garment loading and unloading operation.
For easier access during normal maintenance operations, all access doors are of large dimensions and, in order to guarantee maximum operating safety all access points are protected against accidental openings through electromechanical controls and equipped with pneumatic and automatic door safety locking.

They are practically odourless, have exceptional cleaning properties, are excellent for the cleaning of delicate, coloured, synthetic garments. They are also compatible with printed colours and preserve fibres better.

MKL - MKP 800
THE IDEAL WASHING SYSTEM FOR KNITWEAR CARE
"WHY HYDROCARBON SOLVENT IS USED IN THE KNITWEAR SECTOR"
Hydrocarbon solvent, combined with specific detergents and/or softeners, is used with the special programs studied by Union for each type of yarn. It ensures a safe and efficient treatment for all types of knitwear in general, especially for very high gauge yarn.
Furthermore, the low level of aggressiveness and low specific weight (0.77 kg/lt.) make hydrocarbon solvent the winning solution for treating any garment, aimed at:
- Avoiding "crow's feet" or "drubbing" effects
- Avoiding Pilling effects
- Avoiding damage to inserts in leather or "technical" fabrics
- Avoiding loss of colour of prints in the fabrics
- Avoiding colour fading of the fibres
- Avoiding the deterioration of all kinds of yarn
As known, perchloroethylene, on the contrary, has a high degreasing action and proves to be too "aggressive" for wool, since it also removes a part of the fibre's lanolin.
Its very high specific weight (1.62 kg/lt.) also contributes in straining natural fibres.
At the same time there are yarns with very high denier that involve problems in the normal knitting of the garments, for example yarns that have deniers equal to or higher than 2 / 36.000.
To knit this type of yarn, the thread itself undergoes strong twisting and pulling actions and the pulling action is amplified during the weaving phase and is enhanced especially in the cannolè and armhole regions. These are the points where the knitting is no longer homogenous and in which the yarn is pulled even further.
The defects involved with these types of garments are called in jargon "drubbing" or "crow's feet" and they are enhanced when the garments are washed in water or when dry cleaned with perchloroethylene.
The machines of the Union Mkl-Mkp 800 series are equipped with two independent solvent filtering circuits, made up of high performance cartridge filters in order to ensure the optimum filtering of the solvent and to obtain the maximum purity of the washing solvent. The DIALOG PLUS computer automatically selects the filter to be used whatever the case, based on whether the knitwear to be treated is light in colour or coloured, according to the programs set.

System K4
The first series of machines designed to dry-clean with the Kreussler System K4.
Thanks to an intelligent design, pending international patent, UNION has developed a series of machines dedicated to Kreussler K4, optimised for top results from the new cleaning system.
Union began to study this new solvent some years ago, and today is the only manufacturer in the world to have machines available working with Kreussler K4 in three different continents: Europe, America, Oceania.
Excellent cleaning results, softer garments, brighter colours, easier and faster ironing.
Cleaners are highly impressed by the cleaning performance on fat as well as water soluble impurities, and by the low number of garments to be re-cleaned. Dry-cleaning shops which were already familiar with the use of hydrocarbon solvents, have praised the cleaning performance and the final consistency of fabrics.
Solvon K4 is a biodegradable solvent and has been dermatologically tested.
The Solvon K4 solvent must be used exclusively in purposely designed machines and may not be used in a traditional hydrocarbon machine. UNION K4 machines allow short cleaning cycles with a lower energy consumption compared to traditional hydrocarbon machines.
The K4 range includes models of between 15 and 40 kg loading capacity, for the perfect treatment of regular garments, knitwear, leather garments and furs.
The System K4 product range includes the halogen-free solvent and a special range of pre-spotting and reinforcing products.
